Kinshasa has a small number of private clinics — Centre Hospitalier Monkole and Clinique Ngaliema are the most commonly used by visitors — but healthcare across the DRC is among the most limited in the world, with vast swathes of the eastern provinces and the interior having almost no functioning facilities. Yellow Fever vaccination is required. Healthcare overview
The Democratic Republic of Congo’s healthcare is severely limited across most of the country. Kinshasa has the most functional facilities, including Cliniques Universitaires de Kinshasa and private clinics. Lubumbashi in the southeast has some mining-funded private facilities. Eastern DRC (North Kivu, South Kivu, Ituri) is conflict-affected, with MSF and other NGOs providing much of the available care. The vast interior is medically unreached.
